  4. Hey Melinda! Jackie and I were in SS and had to leave early(right after the prayer) to keep nursery. We wanted to let you know that your words were so inspiring! We wanted to hug your neck so bad after class, but did get to see Ted down in the nursery later. God has an amazing way of doing things. I tell you that you couldn't have walked in at a more perfect time to say what you did. Ken was right, our lesson had alot to do with your amazing faith! Praying hard for you and the family everyday.

  12. Melinda, Since the address of your blog was incorrect earlier I am not sure you got my comments, so I am repeating them now.
You are in for the ride of your life. Welcome to the Sisterhood-of-the-Bosom-Buddies. The initiation dues are VERY STEEP but the benefits are OUT OF THIS WORLD! My initiation started 7 years ago and you will be amazed at how soon you will be where I am today. The group in B'ham is AMAZING! They will wrap you in their arms and guide you step by step through your journey. Dr. Bland's medical assistant is Dana and she is WONDERFUL! I had rather she examine me than he. Lisa (I earlier got her name wrong) is his patient coordinator and she is very accommodating and easy to work with. Both of these people were still working with Dr. Bland 2 years ago when he dismissed me. Everyone up there is interested in your well being. Please tell them "hi" for me. My oncologist was Dr. Carla Falkson and she is a real dear. Dr. John Carpenter is head of the oncology dept. and you may see him. I understand he is very good as well. If there are any questions I can answer for you re. this portion of your journey please do not hesitate to call. I empathize with you at this juncture. My phone numbers are: home-792-3749; cell-790-2417. I'll not bug you since I know how full your hands are right now. But I am available if you need me. Know you are, and will be, in my thoughts and prayers.
Your fellow Bosom Buddy, Penny Carpenter

  13. Melinda,
I am amazed at your strength and courage! You will over come this and God does have a plan. If you just want to talk to someone who's "been there, done that" please call me. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family along with FUMC Emmaus Sunday School class.

  14. Hey Melinda! What a blessing you are to all of us. You have already witnessed to many! Your strength and faith are amazing. Please know that you are in our prayers daily. My sweet Jenn (Jennings, my 3 year old) makes a prayer list everynight. It contains 21 people so far and everynight you have to name them in order from beginning to end before she will go to sleep. If you forget anyone, she will tell you and then make you list them all over again. You are now #22 and we do occassionally forget someone in the order so we do start over many times at night...So where I am going with this is that we may send 1 up for you at least 4 or 5 times at night before we get it right. I admire you and love you for the person you are. Take care and I will anxiously await your next blog. Leisha

  15. God Bless you and keep you safe. You have touched my heart and soul. I am ready to join your blog spot and support you in my thoughts and prayers. Our God is a great God. May you rest and know that HE will prevail. Your words have certainly touched my heart. You have alot of people who know you, and those, like me...who don't...However...I know and can feel your spirit. You will over come this. You will win this battle with God's blessings and help. Your family is so precious. We will stand together and fight this battle! God Bless and I will be passing this blog on to my prayer sisters.

  16. Hey Melinda, How are u, fine i know.Just wanted to let u know I'm thinking about u and praying for u.I kind of understand what you're going thru. My Mother died of cancer in 1979 when i was just 16yrs old. They didn't have the technology then, that they have now. So i know you will be alrigt. Because God is in control and despite what we think or feel sometimes he never makes mistakes. He wouldn't allow u to go thru this if he didn't think u could handle it. He loves us to much for that to happen.Anyway u be encouraged and know that it's all working together for your good and mine, because i'm taking care of "Buck" and he's showing me how to have patience and wait on God. Luv Ya! Mrs. Gordon From Kelly Springs
